Teeth too
big?
Too many teeth, jaw too small?
While beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, some things
like chewing and simple muscle rest work best if certain criteria are met. TMJ, a
jaw dysfunction, can cause dizziness, loss of hearing and severe headaches when out of
balance.
The old statement that "an ounce of prevention is
worth a pound of cure" is true when it applies to crooked or misplaced teeth. Early
interceptive appliances help nature overcome damaging habits, or situations which might
require extraction or surgery in order to attain your dream smile. Earlier is often easier
in situations like these.
Today, with our population median bending to the more
mature age groups, more adults are electing to have their teeth straightened with tooth
colored braces. This, in many cases, can avoid future gum or jaw surgery that might be the
result of poorly functioning mouths.
In nature's grand splendor of interesting people's sizes
and shapes, all combinations possess inherent advantages and disadvantages... even having
small teeth and big feet (you know, like putting your foot in your mouth!)
